As this week comes to a close, we wrap up Term 1! How quickly this last 10 weeks have gone, especially for our Preps. It seems like they only started school yesterday and now have already completed a term of school. Thank you to all staff and families for your work, support and most of all your dedication to the students who come to our school. Thank you all for your efforts in making Dalby State School, not a good school but a Great School!
Today, families will have received their child/rens Term 1 Interim Report Card. The Interim Reports provide an overview of your child/rens progress to date for English, Mathematics and Science. Following the Interim Reports, Parent/Teacher Interviews will be offered in Week 2 of Term 2. These provide an opportunity for parents/guardians to discuss your child’s progress and ensure they are on the right track. We encourage all families to book a time with their child’s teacher to make the most of this valuable opportunity.
I would like to provide an update on our staffing for Term 2:
HPE
- Mrs Tammy Kavney has made the decision that the time has come for her to retire. I would like to thank Tammy for her work, professionalism and her dedication to the students, staff, families, school and most of all to sport! Many students can thank both Tammy and Mick for their tireless efforts and support that they have both given to the school and the community with their time in sport. Tammy will continue to do relief work for our school and surrounding schools. I wish both Tammy and Mick all the best and we look forward to catching up with Tammy when she visits the school in her new role!
- Ms Trina Little will become the substantive HPE Teacher at Dalby State School, commencing Term 2. I would like to thank and congratulate Trina for taking on this role at the school.
- I am currently finalising the backfill of the additional HPE teacher for Term 2 and the remainder of 2025.
5B
- Miss Nikita King will return as the class teacher for 5B for the remainder of the year. I would like to thank Nikita for her work and effort, that she put into the HPE role during Term 1.
- I would also like to acknowledge the role and work that Mrs Deb Buckley has taken on this term. Thank you Deb for your support during Term 1 and for taking on 5B. I think that your European Holiday will be worth it!
