From the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Week 8! This week we completed our NAPLAN testing with our Year 3 and 5 students. Testing has all been finalised and we will wait for the results to return later in the year.
Dean Goodwin our Ground’s Officer finished up with the school last Friday. Dean has taken on a new role that is closer to home. We are now in the process of working through recruitment for a new person to fill the vacancy of Ground’s Person at the school. If this is something that you are interested in, please follow the link below.
Tomorrow we will be having our annual Cross Country! Our Cross Country will commence from 9.20am on the school oval. Students are to wear their sports uniform and enclosed shoes and are encouraged to bring sunscreen and their water bottles. There will be an option for all students to participate in the fun run, even if they have completed in the competitive race.
Next week at Parade, we will be working with the students about the appropriate use of the toilets. Unfortunately, we have had a number of incidents of graffiti, behaviour concerns and children playing in or around the toilets. We ask that you talk with your child/ren at home about how to use the toilets appropriately.
Excitement is growing of our Year 6 students as they prepare for the Year 6 Camp to Runaway Bay at the Gold Coast. Students and the Year 6 teachers will be leaving on Monday morning to have three days and three nights at Runaway Bay Sport and Leadership Excellence Centre. Then on Thursday, student and staff will attend Movie World before heading home late Thursday afternoon.
Warm Regards,
Scott Bach
Acting Principal
