From the Principal
Week 10
Creekside Markets
How fantastic was the Creekside Markets! Well done to the Creekside Market Committee and their many volunteers and helpers who brought together an amazing day. This year the committee were successful in inviting and hosting both the Navy and Army Bands. The committee are still working through finalising the markets and are yet to finalise the total made from the day. All proceeds from the Creekside Markets go back in to the P&C who then in turn support the school. Well done to the Prep Cohort who were successful in winning the Pizza Party.

Ms Mona Anau will be returning as Principal to Dalby State School at the beginning of Term 4. I would like to thank all the parents, carers and wider community in allowing me to serve as Acting Principal at Dalby State School over the past three terms. I have enjoyed working with you all and allowing me to guide the school during this time. I have enjoyed working alongside this incredible school community and dedicated and passionate team. Thank you once again for your support and commitment.
The Leadership Team for Term 4 will be:
- Principal: Mona Anau
- Deputy Principal P-2: Scott Bach
- A/Deputy Principal Yr 3-6: Sammi Sharples

Facilities
There will be various jobs being completed over the school holidays. Work will commence on the Knox Vets on the 1st Weekend of the School Holidays with Asbestos Removal Work taking place. Once this work has been completed, further works include:
- Demolition of the building site,
- Tree removal,
- Replacing the chain wire fence with the current black fence,
- Leveling and turf,
- Handing the site back to the school as an additional oval space.
It is anticipated that the works will be approximately 4 weeks.
There will also be further Asbestos removal work being completed on the F Block (current Year 4) stairwells. The external sheeting will be removed, replaced and updated.
Sports
Yesterday, students and staff from Prep to Year 6 were able to showcase their skipping expertise with the Jump Rope demonstrations. Well done to all the students who participated and to those who were able to fundraise and support the Jump Rope for Heart Foundation.

Today, our students from the Rugby League Excellence Program were able to participate in the Jandowae League Tag Gala Day held at Jandowae. Tag League is a non tackling version of Rugby League where players must remove one or both tags to stop attackers progressing. Our school was able to send both a combined Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 teams to the event.
Ready with Eddie
Ready with Eddie will commence next term from Weeks 2 to 7. Ready with Eddie is a name change from Lift Off. Ready with Eddie will take place on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9.00-10.45am in the spare Prep Classroom. If you are interested or know some families that may be interested please make contact with the school office or see our ad below.
Thank you all again for three great terms and for allowing me to lead this school. I hope you all have a great break and we look forward to regrouping with you all in Term 4. Remember that school resumes on Tuesday 7th October as the Monday is the Public Holiday.
Take care and see you all in Term 4.
Regards,
Scott Bach
